WITH FRESH PAINT PERFORMANCE LAB
by Michael Todd
Songs are like vampires. They suck your blood. They sink their teeth in your neck. They live forever.
For the last ten years Michael Todd has been touring the country, singing around campfires in Alaska and subway platforms in New York City. He's performed and taught in schools from Chicago to Boston, on the stage in Baltimore and Connecticut, along the turnpikes of the American west, and two European tours. Michael is a true-blue American singer-songwriter, a rugged romantic with a powerful, velvety rasp. His songs are funny, sad, ironic, and true; and his performance style is happy-go-lucky and full of soul.
In “Vampires from the Cave,” Todd sets his darker songs to simultaneous screenings of the German silent vampire film “Nosferatu” and the first werewolf movie, “Wolf’s Blood."
There will be a talk back with Michael directly after the performance followed by a more casual mix and mingle with snacks afterwards.
